A very enjoyable day out.
On 21st of April 2016, in preparation for the Great Business Show in Excel, London, IT Enterprise exhibited as one of the Platinum stands at the Business Growth Show at the West Ham football stadium. Our company has never done this type of show before.
Our company has never done this type of show before. The reason we are doing this show now is to be very personal with the young startups and entrepreneurs. We want to understand how these people think and what their needs are.
These are the main reasons we came out of offices for the day:
- Provide help to young entrepreneurs and startups.
- Interaction with our current customers and prospects
- Networking with businesses of different trades and industries.
- Understand our exhibition stand so we can adjust for the next exhibition in the Excel centre.
- Learn what’s working and what’s not working.
- Understand the need for our Software Prototype product.
It was myself and Raj Mistry, our Business Development Manager that were going to provide information about IT Enterprise during the show. We had prepared a set of t-shirts to give away, a set of iPads to capture leads, a lot of extra business cards and a massive smile on our faces. That should be sufficient to make it a success.
Someone was going to win a Fitbit today. We figured out that wearing our t-shirt, with the monkey, would be the best way to advertise our brand and a bit of fun at the same time. Read further to find out who wore our T-shirt during the exhibition with pride.
As it was our first exhibition, it was nerve tracking and a very early start. The show starts at 9:00 am, but we were asked to have completely setup by 8:30 am, meaning that we should start unpacking and setting up by 7:00 am. We left our offices at 5:30 am to avoid London congested traffic during peak times. Even then we managed to be late for 10 minutes. The sat-nav let us down a few times.
Apart from Marc Linton, the organiser of the Business Growth Show we were the first exhibitor to arrive. It turned out that not only we were first to arrive we left last as well.
The below pictures are from our stand at the Business Growth Show.
Marc made sure everyone was geared up by the moment the first visitors entered the doors by 9:00 am. From the time the doors opened, we were starting to help out all types of people.
We listened and cared for inventors, established business owners, young entrepreneurs with great ideas to make the world a better place, startups who would like to provide dedicates services to corporates, authors, investors, and incubators. Very fascinating to listen to all these people and hopefully we were able to help them or inspire them just a bit.
The show is all about networking with people. The dedicated area for speed networking is fascinating for young business owners and startups to connect with other like-minded people. At a whistle of the bell, the participants shuffle around to network with the next person.
By 2:45 pm Marc announced the winner of the £500 marketing budget for the next Business Growth show to one of the visitors. Shortly after this IT Enterprise announced the winner of the Fitbit HR Charge. The winner is Aryan Mirshahi from London, who wore the IT Enterprise t-shirt with pride during the show.
The number of people turned up to the event was less than expected. Nevertheless, Raj and I were constantly busy networking with people and had just 10 minutes time for a quick lunch break. Overall a real success for our first exhibition and now we are ready for the Great Business Show in Excel.
As we were at West Ham football stadium, we couldn’t drive away without having our picture taking with the entire West Ham squad. Always up for a bit of fun too.
